Thanks everyone for the help with my gas leak issue. I will be removing the tank when I get a chance to investigate unless I cannot find the time in which case I will take it to a shop. If indeed the tank itself is bad, do I have alternatives as far as different sizes for the replacement? Did all years of vanagon use the same size? I was hoping that maybe some model used a larger tank than my stock 84 Westy. If anyone knows if this is possible thanks for the input.
