The van and I survived, but the > separating tire (right rear) beat the crap out of the peice of sheet metal > directly aft of the wheel. Not pretty. > MXT's are the way to go. And they rock in the snow. Another right-rear blew-out on MXL's? I heard many said it was always right-rear. All 3 of mine blew at right-rear. Not to mention that my Syncro suffered the same damage and even the mud guard were gone. The only good thing out of these incidents was Michelin gave me a new set of MXT's free after my 3rd blew-out because of the body damage. Another reason to get a set of Michelin MXT's other than a free Michelin Roadside Assistance Kit :-) Regards, Yi-Ruey Wei 87 Vanagon GL Syncro w/leaking head & MXT tires 85 Jetta GLI w/168,000 miles Dallas, Texas ---------------------------------------------------------------- The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
