I have to disagree with this. I once posted my story about a VW shop in Annandale, Va, that wanted to charge me $400.00 for a Weber 32/36 carb, and another $160.00 to "drill out a broken exhaust stud". I found the Weber carb from Larry's Off Road mail order for about $190.00, and I later found the exhaust stud was missing, not broken off in the head. At this point, no discussion with this guy was necesssary, he was trying to rip me off. I posted my (true) story, and the reader can draw their own conclusions from there. If, after seeing the markup this guy charges, and that he would have replaced an exhaust stud while telling the me, the customer, that it was necessary to drill out a broken one when it wasn't, they choose to do business with him, thats fine. Jeff S.
