My sister has survived a long time on a coolant flush and some "Bars leaks" every once in a while. She still has to watch her coolant level and replace a little every once in a while, but she figures it will be new engine time when it finally goes. She has an '87 Wolfy with high and hard miles so she doesn't think its worth a rebuild. Bars leaks can be found anywhere they carry stop leak stuff. It is cheap and easy.

Stay close to home and carry a cell phone.

Hi All

I had hoped that maybe I was immune... but I started dripping coolant last week :-( While I try to decide if the gasket job is over my head (no pun intended) or not, can anyone tell me if I might get a few more miles out of my '85 transporter before jumping into this job (or hiring it out)? I'm probably getting about 20 drips per minute (dpm ?). I'm not very hopeful here.

J.Peter '85 Transporter: "Snugvagon"
