OK, gang, last call on this Syncro in one piece. If it's not sold by the weekend, I'll seriously consider parting her out. I'm asking $3000 firm.

This Syncro has about 155k (speedo was broken), has been repainted sometime during it's life (champagne beige), no major damage, tennis ball sized ding amidships on driver side, mild seam rust, small bubble patch under driver door. It has diff lock, electric windows, rear wiper, fold out rear bed, all working. VC tested, will move van with rear end on trolley jack. Also has power locks and mirrors, needing help, and A/C, needing charged. Bumpers are straight and have all the black pieces. A mild vibration in the drive shaft is caused by a failing rear U-joint, not bad yet but will need attention soon. New muffler and steering rack were installed in Feb. this year. NO coolant leakage, but oil drain plug needs a gasket. Doesn't burn oil. Tires (correct) passed inspection (but need to be replaced for winter) and van passed the rest of the Utah safety inspection. Emissions failed due to high HC levels at idle, where there occurs an intermittent miss, which I assume to be the cause of the high HC. I have as yet to determine the cause of the miss, but a dry compression test yielded 120x3 and 110x1. Will do a wet test tomorrow.

Another listee checked this van over rather thoroughly, but decided against adding this to his stable of Vanagon projects. Pmail me for his address if you want a neutral opinion.

Listees needing parts are welcome to drop a note with their needs and offers, I'll keep them on file.

This is the last For Sale posting for this van whole.
