Well friends rust never sleeps, you may be able to knock it cold for awhile but it will come back. Better to nip it in the bud now..... Sounds like someone could have prepped those seams better if it has just been refinished. Bodywork costs bucks. By the every same token, you get what you pay for. Do it on the cheap, Do it again on the cheap, and again.....Noone I know gives any guarantees on rustwork. But a professional shop that does a professional job will give the best results over the long term.
