I see this recommendation a lot on these discussions. I have an 85 Westy, non-syncro. Are these tires ok for non-syncros? Does the 205 vs. 185 matter with them?

Also, with the larger diameter tire folks say the speedo is a little more accurate. But, does this not also mean less power? I would sacrifice some mpg/speedo accuracy for the power. Herbie does fairly well uphill now, but I would not want any less power and have to shift down more often. I like running in the middle of the rpm gauge, no less than 3000 when pulling uphill in the mountains. I can do that now in 3rd gear on my trip to our cabin without any undue strain on engine.
