I think the list as a whole needs to be very careful with how it deals with complaints about vendors. If a vendor does do bad business, I would be greatful to know this before I made the mistake of dealing with them. But, with only negative posts being made, it won't take long until every vendor has been flamed on the list. It would be interesting to see how many people could give us examples of good business with our vendors. I have ordered parts from The Bus Depot on a couple of occasions, and got exactly what I ordered without a hitch. I'm sure this happens every day to many list members, we just don't feel the need to post it.

My main concern about the transaxle vendor in question is, why isn't he defending himself. I'm sure this list is a large part of his client base. Without as much as an explanation on his behalf, it truly does look like this guy has dropped of the face of the earth. Without hearing his side of this issue, I have to make my decision about this vendor solely on what a disgruntled customer said.

I hope this issue works out for the best for all parties involved. It just seems odd he doesn't care enough about his business to defend it.
