Sorry, I guess I didn't explain myself well enough. My sister used Bar Leaks because her intent was only to buy time before she put in a new engine. She is also going to replace the radiator when she is done per my mechanics recommendation. Like all of us, she loves her van and wants to keep it no matter how many engines she has to put in it. She has even considered the Subaru swap since she also owns a Subaru.

I agree with Coby it is to be used sparingly. As I stated before, she has a tired engine that isn't worth rebuilding so the bars leaks has simply prolonged the inevitable.

I hope hers goes before mine. That way I can watch to see what engine she goes with and test drive it before I do something similar.
