At one time I purchased an 11 gal red plastic gas tank made to go under the rear deck of my boat. It was, as I remember it, quite near the size of the luggage area and some where near 8-10" in depth. The area that it was used in was under the rear deck which housed the large outboard motor and it just cleared it. The marine store that I bought it at had quite a number of sizes and capacities in stock. This was a number of years ago but they must still carry them at most marine dealers.
