Just finished installing a new heater, 120VAC inverter, VCR, TV, removed and painted propane tank, and added sound insulation all around, i also just replaced the engine (6K on rebuilt 2.1L no leaks or probs yet..knock on wood). I had everything ready for the winter. I painted the front of the van (lots of chips from New England Winter roads), and it was looking nice!

Well it was raining hard on Friday and my van was parked,as usual, across the street from my house on a side street in cambridge. Then.......Whammm!! I heard skidding and crashing and then my neighbor "John you better go out there i think someone just hit your car"

Well it wasn't as bad i thought, but it was hit :(

Someone ran a stop sign, hitting a taxi, which in turn spun out and it's rear bumper took the end of my front bumper off, dented slightly, and then made contact again just priot to the rear wheel well. The way i see it is i was pretty lucky. No damage to the wheel well body lines, only slight scratches to the paint (except up near the front bumper where it is slightly dented.) In the back, i'm not sure if it's even scratched, it looks like the bumper sticker from the taxi smeared off onto the van! Now that's about as close as you get.
