I have found that the easiest way is to jack under the trailing arm,
right behind the brake drum. This lifts the wheel quite a ways without
lifting the body very much so the jack doesn't need as much travel. Lift
one side, put in the ramp, do the other side. Be careful not to place
the jack such that it will be in the way of the side of the wheel ramp
and I use a block of wood between the jack and the trailing arm to keep
from gouging through the under coating.
