Subject: Transporting a Scooter

I tried to post a similar message several weeks ago, but I never saw it and have not received any responses, so I will try again.

I recently purchased a 1986 Honda Elite 80 scooter. I would like to be able to attach it to my 1987 Vanagon Westfalia so that I have transportation once I get to a campground. Does anyone have any advice and/or experience that would be of use to me?

The "dry weight" of the scooter is 175 pounds.

Would something like a hitch-haul carrier or a "bumper buddy" work? Each requires that a hitch be installed.

Thanks for any help.
