My last MXL separated going about 85mph on a Canadian backroad 30 miles or so outside of International Falls, MN. The van and I survived, but the separating tire (right rear) beat the crap out of the peice of sheet metal directly aft of the wheel. Not pretty. MXT's are the way to go. And they rock in the snow.
