Brent,

Thanks for the compliment. I'm pretty pleased with the look of the new wheels. Once I add my SA grille, I don't know how I'll be able to stand it. :)

You definitely feel the taller wheels in terms of perf. I have only 45k on my motor so it's strong but still feels a little underpowered. Best example is that I used to idle out of my driveway in reverse, it will now stall unless I give it a little gas. OTOH I got used to things pretty quickly. You just learn to downshift sooner and upshift a little later.

As I said, I like the reduced RPMs at highway speeds and consider that a fair trade for the lost torque.

I haven't timed a quarter mile or 0-60. When I'm out this weekend, I'll see if I can capture some data. If I'm feeling ambitious, I might even swap my wheels back.

My double cab now feels like a real rocket with ~1000 lbs less weight, 14"wheels and the Eurospec motor. I wish I had something more stock so I could do side by side compares.

Ty

Ty:

Just read your post about the 15" alloys you just installed, and I have a question. How did the larger diameter affect your performance? (taking off from standing start, etc.) Did it affect your final drive ratio much?

I've been thinking about this kind of upgrade for a while now, but I'm worried it will make the already sluggish performance worse...

BTW, your Syncro is a beauty, especially with those new "real" sized wheels and tires!
