Patience, my a**. Give me a torch and a big sledge hammer. Seriously, I didn't remove the pulleys either. I was actually quite surprised at how easy the job was. Lot's of little aggravations, but it gradually came apart and then gradually went back together. I did find that to remove the cross tube, I had to remove the power steering pump and the alternator.
