Hi again, Has anyone had a similar problem and what caused it? Gear lever cracked two inches above the floor and eventually broke . I say eventually because 50 klm's from home I thought something was strange as I was hitting my knuckles on the dash board ...took the dust cover of next morning and the lever finally broke...fourtunatley at that spot they are hollow! I fitted an old bolt down the tube and wobble gear changed my way to a friend who resleeved and brazed it in situ... I suspect it was caused by "she who must be obeyed" always having trouble finding the spring loaded reverse! Ray 89' Transporter. |
