I have been very pleased with a spray-foam product called "All-be-gone"
available at kmart and elsewhere. It cleans all surfaces in the Westfalia
very well without much scrubbing, and cleaned the headliner well WITH
scrubbing.
Also, I had great results with Turtle Wax Upholstery cleaner for the felt
"flocking" on the p0op top interior. It had "odor-x" in it which I worried
might be too strong at first, but nicely got rid of any odors in the result.
Now HERE's one: I am becoming increasingly convinced that the METAL panel
on the front of the stove/fridge (w/Westfalia logo/led's etc.)attracts dirt
in significantly disproportionate amounts. I remember looking at a lot of
used westfalias, and on all of them this metal panel had seemed to turn a
greenish brown. I was shocked when I cleaned mine the first time to see
that, indeed, it WAS the same grey color as the rest of the trim!
So.............I think that somehow small amounts of propane coming out of
that front vent are interacting with the metal/paint in some way that causes
this.
It that off the wall?
Any other theories, or better, actual explanations?
