Heater blower replacement is 3 - 4 hours at the shop - a big unpleasant job. Dash etc has to be totally removed. Marshall Ruskin Heres what my problem or at least what i think my problem is. I noticed the same symptoms. When i replaced the fuse which looked ok, and only used the wipers no problem, but when i left the heater blower on for a bit i got the problem. I think in my case and maybe yours, my heater blower motor is on it's way out. When i leave it on it draws more current that normal. The 16A fuse heats up and melts before it blows. It is no longer long enough to make a good connection between the terminals, however if you wiggle it or hit a bump it may sit just right and start working again. does anyone know if the heater blower motor is a big job? john 85 westy |
