Allright Volks, quick part question...


How many Digifant drivers have a muffler (Bentley 26.10) with a heat shield
as an actual part of the muffler?
I ordered a part for our '87 GL (non-syncro) and it came with a
Can-Hugger/Koosie kind of heat shield.  The OEM part I'm pulling off
doesn't have anything like it and I haven't seen a diagram that shows it.
Flanges, length and the diameter of the muffler itself (minus the shield)
looks like it would work.  The shield just doesn't seem to clear the span
of the lower brackets.


Has anyone had success installing muffler like this?
