Steve Lipa, the guy in charge of the Volkswagen section at J C Whitney
called me to ask if I could get some VW's to come out to LaSalle, Il for
a new open car show Saturday September 18th.

I have been working frantically on the baja since BBtA for the import
nationals this same upcoming weekend at route 66. I've got it running in
the low 15's, so I have a good chance to make some money in the street
class this year.
I won't make J C but I plan on being at the camp out and NIVA's show in
Crystal Lake, IL on Sunday.

 I know this is about as last minute as you can get but if any of you
have nothing going on Saturday (tomorrow) during the day much before the
camp out at Kurt & Jackie's. Steve promises to make it worth your while,
(what ever that means.) It is a free event with several different give
a-ways, a tee shirt and a limited J C Whitney hot wheels car.
Registration is before noon, stay as long as you want.
