Subject: wanted: new 205 mxl tires

Hello Todd. I have four (4) "nearly new" Michelin MXL reinforced 205-70-R14's on my 1987 Syncro. I have the syncro up on blocks right now, waiting for the custom Bilstein's to be fabricated, and the tires are off the van. I can find out how many miles are on 'em and/or the tread depth if you're interested.

I probably bought the last set up here in Alaska, I remember my tire man couldn't find anything when I needed new skins, and then he found a set of four MXL's in a warehouse somewhere and said I got the last ones. This was a couple of years ago, but I haven't driven the van much, I've been putting the miles on an '89 Merc instead. These tires say "Made in Spain" -- will that effect your project?

I'll be upgrading to 15" or 16" rims at some point, and I have little interest in keeping the 14" tires after the upgrade, so let me know if you can wait a while and I'll be happy to save them for you.

TJ Sheffield '87 Syncro Westfalia
