Subject:      Torque wrench; click style,
              calibration; or how to waste half a day.

Greetings and Salutations; This is a typical M.O. for me; start of with a simple job and it spirals out of control in complexity. I started out replacing a torn CV boot. Whilst torquing down the bolts I wondered how accurate the click wrench was. It was not to hard to rig up something to compare it to my bar type torque wrench. There was a 12 foot-pound difference in one direction and about thirty ft-lbs in the other direction!!! This was a cheapy with "Shin-Ling" or something to that effect stamped in it.
