I was just at one of the 2 VW dealers in Rochester NY, yesterday (Dorschel
VW 716-334-9440) and they are accepting any reasonable offer on the 99 EV MV
they have on the lot.  It is white and automatic and looks kinda like a
Carat inside.  This is not the GLS but the MV model It has a 3-passenger
rear seat that folds into a bed and two rear facing opera seats with a
folding table in-between.  It lists for $32,999 and they have marked it down
to $29,999 on the window and the salesman told me $28,999.  Also if the
right offer came in to the right sales manager they would let it go.  They
have had the van for over 6 mo. and are anxious to move it out of there.
