<< This may seem like a dumb question. But I am always interested in keeping (or making) my camper as original as possible. I always assumed that all tops were body colored, but when I look throught the members picture site, a great many of them were white (on non-white vehicles). My van is a 1987 GL Syncro Westfalia: full camper, body Wolfram gray, top gray. And I am actually looking for a new (better) top. Can anyone tell me which models had body color tops and which had white? Which should mine be?

Much ado. Thanks in advance. >>

all '64-'84 westfalias with the fiberglass poptops were gelcoated white, exept the '84 wolfsburg westys. '85 up they began to color the tops. yours should be grey, but you can paint them any color you like....

my ex '79 westy had a green poptop (courtesy of retards at maaco) chris
