Although it is a little more complicated, I would suggest going to a
gasoline engine if you want performance and something that isn't quite as
loud. I have seen many good examples of Diesels turned into 2.0L I4s -
very happy owners too! The TDs and TDIs are great engines, but they are
expensive, $3000 CAD for a 1.9 TD and $5000 CAD for a 1.9 TDI are the going
prices. I little rich for my liking...
