Hi alll, I found a very low milage 1986 VW golf. This would make even a better motor for my swap Syncro project. Only problem is, it is an Automatic. Anyone know if there is any problem with things like the ECU, crank end, etc. from the manual transmission Golf. I'm a bit conserned that this motor may not be the same as the manual transmission engine. For example: would the computer be setup diferently for and auto.? Is the crank end different, to adapt to the transmission? Eric 86-VW4x4 vw4x4@fyi.net 72-240z Pittsburgh, PA USA 1936-Chrysler |
