Subject: NHTSA to Investigate EV Fuel Leak Problem!!!
Comments: To: ev_update@maller.com
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi all,

I spoke with a representative from NHTSA this morning and I believe that we got their attention. Aparently not only my complaint, but others from the list who have recently filed complaints coupled with some pre-existing complaints has now moved NHTSA to investigate the fuel leak problem.

I'd like to thank those of you who have already posted complaints on the NHTSA website....including whoever named me as a "resource" in their complaint....and to those of you who who haven't filed a complaint, NHTSA would like your input as well. The process for filing a complaint is painless, takes about 5 minutes and is well worth it. Go to: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ivoq/default.htm

Keep those cards and letters coming in folks....if you have any further info about fuel leaks, VW contacts, etc., let me know. I will keep all of you informed as to anything that happens on this end.

Ric
