I had a problem with roughness on a trip, and recalled that if you
disconnect the O2 sensor, it should releive the problem. I did and it
worked. I finished my trip. But the aftermath was that during the time
between the disconnect and replacement the engine started hard and idled
rough until the engine warmed up.

Once I put in the new O2 Sensor, no problem...would start right up, and
idled well, and driving off cold had few problems.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
