Ordinarily this means an air leak. The unit should continue to operate at highway speeds and in almost any weather condition. If the plug is missing from the drain tube that comes out the front grille, that will do it every time. Also may be leaking where the corrugated stainless tubes are inserted into the aluminum outlet fitting -- my O-rings were leaking so I sealed with silicone (i.e. when I sealed the joint "on spec" it quit going out). Also may be poor seal btw body and vent fitting or outside and inside parts of vent fitting.
