Kevin:

The covers are just sheet metal pressed into shape. I put foam pieces under
them to keep them from rattling. Keeps the floor even, no holes to fall
into. I don't see why a piece of sheet metal couldn't be cut into shape,
drill a couple holes to secure them, and lay them along the top of the rails.
