That sounds like a great technique! I use a technique that is not quite as efficient but works also well. I use the digest mode and then search for the string "Subject:" with the find function. If the subject is of no interest for me I whiz right by it. If I want to read it, it's right there. I think I'll implement some email filters and try this for a while to see what works better for me.
