Subject: Fog lights quit/electrical smell
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Greetings

My fog lights died today. Got that nice smell of fried electrical emanating from the dash. The switch appears fine, when I switch it on and off I hear a louder click from under the dash like a relay or something. PO installed these lights and I haven't really taken the time see how the wiring works. What I can see is that the green wire goes to the headlight switch, which BTW works fine. The yellow wire goes to what looks like a relay under the dash mounted by the ground connectors. Fog light switch looks fine and illuminates. Fairly heavy gauge wire compared to the rest of the dash wiring. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. -- R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro Victoria, BC.
