Just another tidbit -- I have for a long time experienced long-blinking coolant light, especially in damp weather. From the schematics in Bentley, I've become convinced that the difficulty primarily resides in the temperature gauge itself. A few days ago I swapped my panel out with the '85 b/c I wanted the tach in the Westy; and immediately the blinking LED returned to normal behavior. This tells me that in my case the trouble was indeed in the gauge. When I get around to putting the other panel in the '85 I'll tell you if that light no longer blinks for a long time, but I frankly expect it will. david David Beierl - Providence, RI '84 Westy "Dutiful Passage" '85 GL "Poor Relation" |
