you can try adjusting the two bolts on the plate at the bottom of the shift
lever (under the rubber boot) first, to see if that'll help get rid of the
problem. but mark the position of those bolts first!!! a little adjustment
can make a lot of difference, and you want to be able to put the plate back
in the same position if you adjust the wrong way and make it worse.

check and make sure the leak isn't clutch fluid ... check the brake fluid
reservoir and see if it's really low ... the clutch and brake use the same
fluid and reservoir and if the clutch slave cylinder (on the transmission,
just above the cv joint on that side) is leaking, it'll drip down and look
just like a transmission leak.
