Hi Andrew. I installed one of the Gene Berg quick shift kits on my 87 Syncro Westy and it has made a big difference in the feel of the shifting. It is much smoother and as expected, a shorter throw to 3rd gear. I think you'll find the investment worthwhile. Bob
