so latest in the cooling problems saga of 82 diesel vanagon "Bike" electrical problem now eng temp needle comes all the way up and to the right and blinking red led BEFORE I EVEN TURN ENGINE OVER, ENGINE COLD FROM LONG OVERNIGHT this is two or three days now I check actual engine frequently, but is cool as cucumber can rest fingers on head for 3-5 secs before uncomfortable, that's after driving a hour or more... what's in the loop electrically? there seem to be leads/sensors from back of head, top of main coolant hose into head, and from top of reservoir, in addition to the two switches on the radiator anyone run into this? can I remove any of the leads to test which is the problem could it be the dash guage even though both the needle and LED physically work? help, it's very stressful to have that light blinking at me thanks Rolf and "Vespa"
