Subject: 1986 syncro gear into 82?
Content-Type: text/plain

What would be the chances of moving the tranny and running gear from a 1986 syncro into my '82 westy? Would my air-cooled motor bolt up? Would my gas heater etc. get in the way? What mods would be required?

If not , what is the value of a 1986 syncro in fair shape? I can get one for $800 but have not seen it yet. I know the 4WD westies are valued, but does this extend in some way to the non-camper variety?

Thanks in advance,

George Lehman '82 westy bought new in '82!
