Water separator: This is the plastic device located between the air cleaned housing and the begining of the snorkel tube, that goes into the side wall of the Van, and up the side. This is a Syncro item only. It is there to remove water from the snorkel tube. It causes the air to spin, forcing the heavier water to the outside, and into a small clear collection bowl, at the bottom.

Just another note on H.P. improvement. I also have a K&N filter. So with no CAt, a K&N filter, the most restrictive thing in the system could and is the water seperator. Anyone have a spare plastic tube, the part on the 2WD that is in place of the water seperator, they could send me?
