Ralph, I always take my Westy for propane to the kind of U-Haul Rental outlet which has the repair shop. Avoid the kind of outlet which is attached to another business. The "regular" outlet has a series of propane hose attachements, one of which fits the Westy, usually. I stand there and observe, ready to correct and to murder, if necessary, while the usually competent person fills the tank with no more than 3 gallons, at, usually, the best price in any market. The ones I have tried hire High school kids that only know how to > fill up motor homes or gas grills. The last propane guy told me to > "Take the Vanagon to a VW dealer since they were the only ones that fill > Westy tanks" . Have you ever heard of anything sillier than that?? > I guess we buckeyes must really be in the hinterlands. > Any suggestions of a dealer who knows what he is doing would be > appreciated. > > Thanks > > Ralph |
