Did you have trouble finding places to camp or was it easy? Todd Francis>> Yes, we rented the Westfalia from Herting and Otter Volkswagen in Frankfurt. These arrangements were made by my friends at Reimo, who called around to find me the best deal. It was very nice of Reimo considering that Westfalia is their competitor. Reimo had all of their vans committed to different events including the international auto show and the European Camper show. The Westfalia came with no bedding or cooking supplies. We brought one sleeping bag in a stuff sack, and the cooking kit from my backpack. We also brought an old bed sheet and sheet-blanket which we pitched on the last day. I read once where a traveller would always take his old clothes with him on a trip. He would throw them out as he went so he didn't need to launder them or bring them back. This is a great idea that I will try out the next time I go overseas. Herting and Otter is a small VW dealer near Frankfurt. They park most of their cars for sale on the grass in front, and they specialize in VW T4s. They can be reached at: 0610961071. Check with your international operator on how to make this call from the US.
