Showers when you're camping are wonderful. For about $10 I made one that works adequately. I'm sure w/ a little more engineering & the wisdom on this list it can only improve! You need: A big hoola hoop (the more colorful, the better) 2 shower curtains & rings (again, lots of color) A big (~35 gallon) plastic container (K-mart, $5) A 110-12-ft piece of tubing (that can withstand hot summer temps in the van) The cheapest plastic showerhead you can find (read: yard sale) 2 12" bungees Simply slip the tubing over the square faucet outlet, run it up over the horizontal pop-top support and dangle from the skylight vent w/ a bungee, and let it hang straight down, avoiding kinks. Install shower head on end, of course. I use a spray attach meant for a kitchen sink so the rain comes straight down, rather than one w/ a handle, to prevent kinking. Attach curtains to the hoola hoop, slip one part of it between the cushions of the upper bunk and dangle w/ a bungee from the horizontal support bar. Stand in the big plastic tub, turn on the H20 and get clean! It does leak a little at the faucet, but not substantially. I use the big plastic tub as a trunk in the back for rollerblades, etc--stuff that would fly around and/or get stolen if in view. The main problem is stowing the hoola hoop, which I have been keeping on the ceiling. I'm going to try cutting it in half and sticking tubing connectors from the hardware store in it so that it can be easily assembled/disassembled. Have fun!
