I believe VW did a recall for the Vanagon jack at one time, coz the shaft was too short & it posed a risk to the user. Note: the Wolfsburg/Carat jack *really* needs the longer shafts, as it has to be able to clear those expensive side panels!! My brother-in-law has a '70 bus. His jack is different again!
