I'm wtiting this for a friend stuck in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Yesterday he had an RV place in Grand Junction (his home) put in a second batery with isolator kit, etc. He drove to Steamboat -well almost. 12 miles out of town, everything died-lights, power, everything. He had it flatbed towed to Steamboat, and this AM tells me that there is power to the alternator light on the dash, and power to the starter, but he can't get anything to turn over- no clicks, no lights, no nuttin. I'm thinking perhaps his ignition switch, and perhaps the new/extra battery is a red herring??? Any other thoughts?? He's not on the list, but if I get any info, I'll call him. Thanks... By the way, anyone know a good VW shop in or near Steamboat Springs???? John |
