I am new to this list and look forward to sharing information on Vanagons. My question is this. I own an 84 water cooled Vanagon. I have owned two air

cooled Vanagons previous to this. I have had engine problems with my 84 water cooled and would love to put in a slightly built air cooled engine. Is this a labor intensive swap, in specific, I assume the engine brackets would be the same, but from electrical/heating/cooling point of view, would I be pulling hair after such an operation? Any insights would be helpful.

Harold
