We have used the hinge edge of the closed hatch and one long pole to
make a triangular shower "stall" with a long tarp.  We have room to use
a table and such in there (about as much room as the entire van!).  The
top is kept level or higher than the drip rail at the hatch and about 6"
higher at the pole "corner".
