My personal opinion is that is it better to go with a new head.

The price difference isn't that great between new and rebuilt. I sell the new heads for $350 each. The rebuilt heads are $250 each and then you have a $40 core. If your core is no good (which happens alot) then the rebuilt head price is $290 plus the $15 shipping of sending back your core just for them to tell you it is bad so say $305 total. So why not save yourself time, and hassle and just buy the new head. The alloy that the new AMC heads that I sell are made of is different than the original heads and is supposed to not have the corrosion problem as well.

I also have a good deal going on the complete engine gasket kits for the waterboxer that comes with both head gaskets, the black head gasket sealant and the yellow head nut sealant for only $99. It is a German kit.
