There is a small gear that either gets unseated or the hub get reamed out. I would take the speedo cluster out and have a look. Takes 4 screws, unhook 5 connectors, and one speedometer cable to take a look at the back of the cluster. Then 4 screws to access the back of the speedo itself.

2. The speed indicator works but the kilometers do not record, is this a simple repair or should I replace the whole speed indicator/odometer unit?
