Well, the shorter wire to the relays didn't fix the hot start problem. I now think the problem is in the curcuit that turns on the fuel pump relay. I couldn't hear the pump priming after the engine wouldn't start last night. So I disconnected the wire from the fuel pump and turned the ignition on, and the engine did the same thing. It would run like its on 1 or 2 cyls. I suspect whatever supplies 12v to the coil of the fuel pump relay is the culprit. Bentley shows the coil side of the relay going to the ignition coil. I ran out of time last night to measure the voltage at the coil side of the relay before it cooled down. I'll try again tonight.
