There's a place down south of Palm Springs towards El Centro called 'The Slabs'. That's all it is, a bunch of concrete slabs out in the middle of no where. Parking is good on account of the Slabs, if you like desert, it's pretty. It's definitely warm, usually, in January [Don't be there in July]. And reasonably close are about 200 golf courses in the Palm Springs area, really good shopping [so says my world class shopper niece] and Mexico's close too. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bill <bill@FREEHOLDER.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, October 08, 1999 12:18 AM Subject: Jan1, 2001, and campgrounds
